The Patio Suite | Steps to Beach & Downtown

This applies only to the Patio Suite in which we stayed. Overall a charming bungalow very close to the beach and the wharf. It is also very close to the Amtrak station which we found really convenient as that was our mode of transport. The trains run from morning to night but not overnight. The noise from the trains was never an issue for us. It has a small, quaint but usable kitchen, a quaint old school bathroom (with a fan that you couldn't turn off and who's cover looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time), and a king size bed. An easy walk into the Funk Zone and short car ride to the heart of downtown which is super convenient. One thing to note, it is across a creek from a Hostel which was generally pretty quiet save for our last night when they had a cover band who could best be described as applying the laid back vibes of Sublime to every song, They were loud and played non-stop from 7:30p - 9:45p (good value for money for the booker, unfortunately not relaxing for us). Also, if whomever is staying upstairs walks around until 1am, you will hear that as you lay in bed. And lastly, there is a fair amount of patio space which is pretty nice. Unfortunately the outdoor furniture had seen better days and was not exactly inviting.

Stayed here for my wedding weekend! Perfect location, so cute inside, and loved how easy it was to check in/out! Can’t wait to come back for our wedding anniversary!

Patio Suite is packed with charm and on a quiet corner just steps away from State Street and the ocean! The bed was comfortable; there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure: the linens were fresh and fluffy; and tv and WiFi worked well! The kitchen was outfitted with plenty of practical cooking utensils and a good coffee machine :) And we found the nearby train’s call for “All aboard” endearing, not annoying.We think we found a “treasure” in the area of Santa Barbara that we love to stay in… and we’ll definitely be back!

The space is really only enough for 2 people.
